Ciprofloxacin + Dexamethasone

Ciprofloxacin : It has rapid bactericidal activity and high potency. It spares protective intestinal streptococci and anaerobes. It is active against many Beta lactum and aminoglycoside resistant bacteria. At acidic pH it is less active. It has lowfrequency of mutational resistance and low propensity to select plasmid resistant mutants.

Dexamethasone : Very potent and highly selective glucocorticoid. Long acting. Causes marked, pituitary-adrenal suppression, but fluid retention and hypertension are not a problem. It meets any emergency with intensified potency and strikingly rapid corticosteroid action, thus ensuring speedy reversal of the situation in the patients favour.
